A position is available in the WQM department for a Field Technician who will primarily be responsible for conducting field investigations to support Water Quality Management, Customer Service and various operating departments. A high school diploma, some background in Science (Biology, Microbiology, and Environmental Science) or Associates Degree in Science preferred, a valid Connecticut Driver's License, and the ability to obtain a DEP Boat Operator’s Certificate to operate a motor boat is required. The ideal candidate must have good communication and customer service skills, be able to swim, lift a minimum of 75 lbs., and drive long distances to complete sample collection runs. He or she may enter confined spaces and work with hazardous chemicals and small hand tools. The primary duties are:
